We make nut butters, date bars, and chocolate. That’s it. We don’t make supplements, protein bars, or anything that requires a paragraph of disclaimers. We make food that tastes like what it is. The ingredient list is short because it should be.

The ingredients themselves matter just as much as the process. Whenever possible, we source from small producers and independent merchants who care about their craft as much as we do. Many of them are part of the Nostr network — builders, farmers, and food makers who operate outside the typical corporate supply chains.

That means the supply chain behind Oshi often looks a little different. Sometimes the cacao, sweeteners, or other ingredients come directly from people we’ve met through Nostr — merchants who share the same ethos of transparency, sovereignty, and quality. It’s a small but growing circular economy, and we’re proud to participate in it.

We built Oshi around Bitcoin from day one. Not as a novelty payment option. Not as a marketing angle. As a principle.

Bitcoin is sound money. It can't be inflated away. It has no borders. Payment is final — no chargebacks, no disputes, no 3% processing fee baked into every price. When you pay with sats, you're paying with money that means something.

We accept Bitcoin via Lightning Network (and on-chain). Payments settle instantly. We pass the savings on in our pricing. We also think the kind of person who pays with sats is exactly the kind of person who appreciates what we make — someone who thinks carefully about value, who understands that quality costs what it costs.

We run our own Bitcoin node. We self-custody. We don't use custodial services. We practice what we preach.

Nostr is a censorship-resistant social protocol built on public-key cryptography. It's where we publish updates, batch notes, and connect with our community. No algorithm. No platform risk. No account that can be suspended.

We also use Nostr for zaps — Lightning tips attached to content. If you find a recipe useful or a blog post worth reading, you can send a few sats directly to us. No payment processor. No middleman. Peer to peer.
